Review Process The selection of manuscripts for publication in the E-Journal of Teaching and Learning in Diverse Settings is a two-step process and is based on blind peer review (i.e., the reviewers do not know the names of the authors): First, the editor reviews manuscripts to ensure the appropriateness of the topic/problem (teaching and learning in diverse settings) and adherence to Author Guidelines. Manuscripts addressing topics/problems outside the focus of the E-Journal of Teaching and Learning in Diverse Settings or not following guidelines are returned to the author(s) for revision. Second, manuscripts are sent to reviewers that are selected based on their expertise in the topic/problem area or research procedures used. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts for importance of the topic/problem, contribution to the extant literature, methodology (quantitative and qualitative studies), accuracy and validity of content, organization and writing style, and guidelines in the latest edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (see Reviewer Evaluation Form). Manuscripts are accepted as submitted, accepted with
revisions, or rejected. The review process takes four to eight weeks. |
