The purpose of the Office of Professional Development Schools and Field Experiences is to monitor and strategically structure teacher candidates in a variety of ongoing field-based activities which gives students the experience of observing assisting, tutoring, instructing, and conducting research.  Field experiences in Professional Development Schools/Partnerships Schools provides a practical setting under the supervision of a highly qualified teacher where the candidate can compare,  combine, test and observe the theories and principles examined in pre-professional coursework.

 

As a partner with the PK-12 initiative, ongoing quality staff development for school and university facility will be implemented to support student learning.  To provide facility/staff participation, and a time when the community, facility/staff can collaboratively discuss various issues to better connect the school and university.
