Internet Access and Skills Considerations |
1. Do you have and use a valid e-mail account?
2. Can you send and receive e-mail messages with
attachments?
3. Is your Internet connection reliable with wide
bandwidth?
4. Can you access the Internet at least three times per
week for at least one hour per session?
5. Can you multi-task between your e-mail application and a
word processing application, such as Microsoft
Word 2002? |

Assessing Your Responses for Internet Access and Skills
Considerations |
E-mail is one of the predominant means of communication,
and, consequently, you must be able to use that
application effectively.
Accessing your online course regularly is as important as
attending your face-to-face class regularly.
Traditional, face-to-face courses meet for
roughly three hours each week, and you should be
prepared to devote a minimum of three hours each
week to your online courses. Reliable Internet
connectivity is imperative to fulfill this
commitment.
If e-mail is not a commonly used method of communication
for you or your Internet connection is not
reliable, you may want to consider registering
for an online course. |
