...to Distance Education at Southern University Baton Rouge.
From single courses to, in the near future, complete programs, Southern University offers a growing number of educational opportunities through distance education for both undergraduate and graduate work.

I am currently preparing an updated webpage for www.subr.edu that will enhance the experience of Distance Education with online forms, and databases gathering vital data to report to the Board of Regents each semester.  There are four forms of distance education:

Videoconferencing or Interactive Compressed Video brings live video instruction at sites conveniently located to you.  Administration and Faculty both utilize video conferencing to assist in the furthering of the educational experiences of the student.  Through partnership between Louisiana Consortium of Insurance and Financial Services, Continuing Education and Distance Education, courses are being offered to the general public via Compressed video for preparation to take the state insurance exams.
