Southern University Holds Prayer Service

WHO: Southern University will hold a prayer service for those affected by Hurricane Katrina

WHAT: Reverend Jesse Bilberry of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church will preside over the service. Invited guests to speak at the prayer service include Father George Lundy of the Martin Luther King Catholic Student Center, Reverend Willie Laws of Hughes United Methodist Church, who also serves as vice chair of the Wesley Foundation, Reverend Leo Cyrus of the Baptist Student Center and Reverend John Montgomery of Greater King David Baptist Church. SU Interim President/Chancellor Edward R. Jackson will give final remarks. The Southern University Interdenominational Gospel Choir under the direction of Reginald Collins will render music.
