Insurance Dept., College of Business sets insurance ed. symposium, Nov. 13

The Louisiana Department of Insurance Office of Minority Affairs and Southern University’s College of Business is holding a symposium on insurance education and careers in the insurance industry.

The symposium will be held at 11 a.m., Nov. 13, in room 313 T.T. Allain Hall.

The guest speakers are Dr. Sam C. Onyeka, Assistant Director, National Insurance Commission, Abuja, Nigeria, and Dr. Talmiz Usman, Assistant Director, National Insurance Commission, Abuja, Nigeria. 

Drs. Onyeka and Usman are participants in the NAIC International Fellows Program sponsored by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).   The Louisiana Department of Insurance participates in the program by hosting international fellows twice a year.
