SU Center for International Affairs to host International Jazz Brunch
The Southern University Center for International Affairs and University Outreach will host its annual International Jazz Brunch and Silent Auction on April 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Cotillion Ballroom.
Funds from the event provide scholarships and for students seeking to study abroad.
Items from countries such as Brazil, Turkey, China, Senegal, and Belize will be auctioned. Guests can also donate items from countries they’ve visited. All items donated or purchased are tax deductible.
The Herman Jackson Jazz Ensemble will provide entertainment at the event. Tickets are $35 each or $300 for a table.

The CIE was established at Southern to provide students with the opportunity to study abroad and to engage in activities to help them to acquire a second language and knowledge of foreign cultures.
Through the CIE, Southern has created programs in Africa, Europe, Latin America and Asia that involves academic study and service learning activities. The CIE is actively pursuing external support for its international initiatives.
