SU grad Polite Stewart Jr. making the Jaguar Nation proud

Southern University Alum Polite Stewart, graduated from SU at 18-years-old, was featured on NBC Bay Area’s segment “Bay Area Proud” as one of the Bay Area’s smartest young person.

Stewart is working as a post- baccalaureate fellow at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He is also thinking of attending graduate school at the University of California Berkeley.

In the segment, Stewart tells NBC Bay Area’s reporter Garvin Thomas, “he’s ready to shed the image of a science prodigy and is viewed simply as a scientist.”
