College of Social and Behavioral Sciences to host seminar Jan. 27

The College of Social and Behavioral Science will hold a seminar entitled "Democracy in the Middle East: Who Really Wants to Develop It in the Region?" on Monday, January 27 at 11 a.m. in Higgins Hall Lobby.

 

Guest speakers from Turkey include: Professor Dr. Yasin Aktay, president of Strategic Thinking Institute and Executive Board Member of the current ruling party; Professor Dr. Osman Can, Executive Board Member of the current ruling party and a former reporting judge in the Turkish supreme court; and Ayaz Akkoyun, a member of the Independent Industrialists' and Businessman's Association.

 

The event is free and open to the public.
