Prison ministry leader next in SU public policy series

 

Author, pastor and prison ministry director, the Rev. Anthony Kelley is the next presenter in the Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy Speaker Series. 

Kelley is the founder and a consultant for the Prison Ministry and Criminal Justice Commission of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. He is the Social Justice Director of the Greater Louisiana Baptist Convention. 

Kelley, Senior Pastor and Teacher of the Greater First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, is an author of several acclaimed books, including "A Strange Silence from the Pulpit" and "Jailhouse Religion," published by Townsend Press.

His current book, "How Shall They Hear? Effective Preaching to Prisoners," will be presented on Wednesday, February 26, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., in Higgins Hall Lobby.
