A new SU football practice, soccer facility, is on the way

The Southern University System Foundation, in partnership with the SU Athletics Department, officially broke ground Monday on Jaguar Park, a privately-financed facility that will include a lighted NCAA regulation soccer game field, football practice field and a soccer fieldhouse.

The complex will also include a coaching observation tower, along with javelin and discus runways. Jaguar Park will be enclosed by mesh and aluminum fencing and 40 connecting brick columns. Jaguar fans, friends and supporters are invited to be part of the renovation by reserving a commemorative column in Jaguar Park.
