COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP POLICY

The College of Engineering awards scholarships to qualified students who major in engineering. Scholarships in the college are supported by foundations, industries,corporations, and governmental agencies. Recipients receive awards ranging from $1000-$7,460 per academic year for four years or up to eight academic semesters, provided funds are available to do so and upon the corporate sponsors' decisions. Awards are renewed each semester following a review of the student's academic performance at satisfactory levels. The College of Engineering Scholarship Committee selects recipients.

QUALIFICATIONS

Incoming Freshmen Must:

1.

Declare a Major in Engineering

2.

Have a Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)

3.

Submit Official 7 Semester High School Transcript

4.

Submit ACT/SAT Scores of 21/990 or better

5.

Submit 2 Letters of Recommendation

6.

Meet the March 1 Deadline

Upperclassmen Must:

1.

Be Enrolled Full-Time in an Engineering Program

2.

Have a Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)

3.

Submit Official College Transcript

4.

Submit 2 Letters of Recommendation

5.

Be in Good Standing at the University

Transfer Students Must:

1.

Be Enrolled Full-Time in an Engineering Program at the University for at Least One Semester

2.

Have a Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)

3.

Submit Official College Transcript

4.

Submit 2 Letters of Recommendation

5.

Be in Good Standing at the University
