Teacher Job Fair
(under development 6/20/14)
The Teacher Job Fair is now a part of the University's Career Exploration Day, an event co-coordinated with the Southern University Office of Career Services. Career Exploration Day is held every Fall and Spring semester.
The Teacher Job Fair is designed for students and alumni of the College of Education, Arts and Humanities to meet and interview with representatives from various school districts or agencies. Representatives will set up exhibits and conduct screening interviews with prospective candidates.
On-campus recruiting offers employers the opportunity to identify and interview graduating seniors for anticipated job openings. The main purpose of the campus interview is to screen candidates and select those who will be referred for further interviews within the company, and to provide information to candidates about how he or she would fit into the organization.
Please see the attached Career Exploration Day document for: 1) Registration fees, and 2) Exhibitor's Packet for shipping documents to the University for the Career Exploration Day activity. Please do not ship any items for the Teacher Job Fair directly to the University.
Southern University's College of Education sponsors the Teacher Job Fair in fall and spring of each academic year.
The Youth Motivation Task Force (YMTF)
The Youth Motivation Task Force allows successful professionals from various backgrounds to interact with SU students and introduce them to private and public sector job experiences. To register for YMTF activities, complete the YMTF participation form in the Career Exploration Day document.
If you have questions about the Teacher Job Fair or YMTF, contact Mr. Ronnie Foster.
