Title: Amateur Chamber Music Players (ACMP) Grants
Brief Description: Support is provided to well-established and fledgling institutions, regional and national associations, recognized nonprofit organizations as well as individuals able to create and implement suitable projects. Grants will range from $1,000 to $3,500 each and be awarded for community music, weekend workshops, special initiatives, or home coaching.
Proposed Funding: Grants will range from $1,000 to $3,500
Agency Deadline: Proposals for Community Music must be received by mid-December. Proposals for Weekend Workshops must be received the last day of April, August, and December. The deadline for Special Initiatives is September 15. There are no deadlines for the Home Coaching program area. However, implementation must take place by June 30 of each year.

Title: Novel NeuroAIDS Therapeutics: Integrated Preclinical / Clinical Program (NIH)
Brief Description: The National Institute of Mental Health invites P01 research grant applications to develop innovative programs to advance therapeutics for NeuroAIDS. This program will support research projects that advance central nervous system (CNS)-focused therapeutic approaches to: 1) address HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders in HIV-infected individuals on highly active anti-retroviral therapy (HAART), 2) eradicate persistent HIV-1 from the CNS during chronic infection, 3) prevent establishment of HIV-1 in the brain during early infection, and 4) assess the potential for CNS toxicity using HAART or candidate drugs that are currently in clinical studies to eradicate HIV-1. Multi-disciplinary, multi-project programs that are focused on improving neurocognition in HIV-infected persons are encouraged.
