Title: Fulbright Programs - Europe - Armenia - Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)

Brief Description: The sponsor provides lecturing or lecturing/research awards in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).  This opportunity is open to early career applicants (within five years of terminal degree).

Eligibility:  Applicants should have a Ph.D. or M.A. in TEFL/TESOL or applied linguistics or closely related field with minimum three years of college-level teaching and teacher training experience is required. Expertise in curriculum and materials development is highly desirable.  Scholars of all academic ranks (junior, mid-career and senior faculty), including community college and adjunct faculty are welcome to apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of application. Permanent resident status is not sufficient.  Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent professional/terminal degree (including a master's depending on the field) as appropriate at the time of application. For professionals and artists outside academe, applicants must demonstrate recognized professional standing and substantial professional
accomplishments.  A candidate who has resided abroad for five or more consecutive years in a six-year year period preceding the date of application is ineligible for a grant. For the purpose of this section, a candidate who has lived outside the United States for nine months or more during a calendar year is deemed to have resided abroad for that year.  Recipients of a core Fulbright Senior Scholar award (defined as longer than two months) are eligible to receive another traditional award five years after the date of completion of the
previous award.

Funding:  A monthly base stipend of $2,640 to $2,860 is provided. Also included is a maintenance allowance, a travel/relocation allowance, a book allowance of $1000 and a dependent tuition allowance.  Awards are for a duration of four to nine months.
