The Office of Student Orientation/Outreach & Leadership Development {S.O.L.D.} would like to "Welcome you to our page!" We are here to serve Students, Staff, Faculty, Administration, and the SUBR community. By planning programs and activities, students are allowed to gain an experience that is unique to The Office of S.O.L.D.!
We coordinate "365 Jag: The University's Orientation & Welcome Week Program!!!" Orientation no longer takes place only during the Summer months, but also in the Spring and Fall Semesters. Welcome Week is now a part of Spring and Fall Semesters prior to classes starting as well. 365 Jag is mandatory for all First Time Students and Transfer Students.
Outreach! It is essential that our students understand the importance of giving back to their community. Currently, we are working with a variety of non-profits, universities, community programs/organizations, and the Mayor's Office to provide character building opportunities for students here at SUBR.
The Ambassador Leadership Development Program is responsible for creating positive experiences for students that attend Southern University and A & M College! The Ambassador Program allows students to learn office/clerical skills, define the type of leader they desire to be, learn different leadership styles, identify potential careers, while encouraging them to think outside of box and develop critical thinking skills.
