On behalf of the Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs program at Southern University and A&M College, I welcome you to our website and encourage you to examine closely what we have in place to offer our students, university, community and state.

Our university is the only one in the State of Louisiana that offers the doctoral degree in public policy and the only accredited Master of Public Administration (MPA) program in South Louisiana. Additionally, we offer undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Criminal Justice and Political Science and a joint MPA/JD master’s degree program. We serve more than 300 undergraduate and graduate students.

If you are a prospective student, I am pleased that you are contemplating to pursue one of our undergraduate or graduate degree programs at Southern University. Our primary goal is to assist you in achieving your academic and professional career options by providing valuable information regarding our graduate and undergraduate programs in the Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs.
