The Rehabilitation Counseling Program (RCP) was established, Under the administration of the College of Sciences, in 1983 as a part of the Consent Decree. In 2003, RCP was upgraded to the Department of Rehabilitation and Disability Studies (DRDS). The Department offers a B.S. degree in Rehabilitation Services and an M.S. degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. The bachelor's program currently has about 120 and master's program has about 40 students. The B.S. program is one of the chartered members of the Undergraduate Registry of the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) and the M.S. is fully accredited by CORE (2002-2010).
