The Southern University Center for Social Research and its partners, as contracted by the US Army Corps of Engineers, identified stakeholders and user groups who had an interest in the Henderson Management Unit . Additionally, the team collected concerns and recommendations from any interested individual or group to improve the Henderson Management Unit

This web site served as public awareness about the Henderson Lake Water Management Unit, as well as any progress and recommendations.

The Henderson Lake Water Management Unit is located in the Atchafalaya Basin, lying within portions of St. Landry and St. Martin parishes in Louisiana. This WMU is bounded by US-190, the Atchafalaya River, Butte La Rose Canal and the Western Atchafalaya Basin Protection Levee.
