Student Business and Industry Alliance
Providing a direct link to students, the Southern University Student Business and Industry Alliance (SBIA) works closely with the Cluster program, fostering communication between students and business and industry representatives. Students from diverse disciplines work with Cluster members and faculty to facilitate seminars, workshops, job fairs, classroom visitations, and other SBIA activities. SBIA enhances student recruitment and co-sponsors activities that aid broader cultural exposure and political awareness.

1. Access to high-ability students for cooperative education, internship, or permanent employment opportunities
2. Prime booth placement at University career fairs
3. Participation in and input on development of workshops designed to assist students in building communication skills
Input on Curricular Change
1. Involvement in development of innovative curricula, to help prepare students to meet fast-changing technical and other challenges in the global market
2. Guidance on projects that stimulate business research in higher education
3. Networking opportunities with university administrators, faculty, and students
