Move In Instructions
Incoming first-year students move in August 12-13, 2024.
The experience is the same for both days
Move In Process
- Confirm your move-in arrival time: The Housing Office will email your Housing Assignment, Move-in Date, and location to confirm your arrival time. Make sure to only show up during your time.
- Find the resident starting point: View the Move-in Map and Residence Area
- We ask all residents to arrive via the Harding Blvd Overpass and turn off at the F.G. Clark Activity Center. We will have directional signage and staff from there to guide students to their respective check-in areas and unloading zones.
- Bradford Hall & Bethune Hall Residents arrive via the Harding Blvd Overpass and continue Harding Blvd. Follow directional signage and staff from there to guide students to their respective check-in areas and unloading zones.

- Make your way to your unloading zone:
- Please have a printed copy of your Student Data Form.
- Data Forms will be emailed to students at the end of July.
- Arrive no more than 10 minutes before your move-in time.
- Early birds will be redirected to the exit lane to wait for their time.
- Late arrivals will be accommodated as much as possible but are not guaranteed to be during your scheduled move-in time. Late arrivals are subject to be rescheduled.
- Make your way to your unloading zone:
- Let’s Get Checked IN.
- Pull up to the welcome tents, where you will exchange your printed data form for our welcome packets and room keys.
- Please Park in a parking space to unload. Avoid parking in the fire lanes next to the buildings. Anyone parked there will be asked to move. Vehicles in the fire lane must also be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense.
- Each student can bring up to two (2) cars—a vehicle towing a U-Haul or trailer counts as two vehicles.
- If you have a third car, you must park it in a perimeter lot on campus before coming to the staging area. A third car will not be allowed into the Move-in staging area.
- Unload your belongings.
- Residents and two non-resident helpers can begin the unloading process. Remember that you have 20 minutes to unload. After that, you should move your car to your designated parking area.
- Remember that our volunteers help you unload and bring your belongings to your room while you move your car.
- Bring your dolly or cart to help bring your belongings to your room.
- Please be courteous to other Jaguars and move your car as soon as you unload.
- Move the resident's car to its designated parking area.
- Totty and Shade: Building 100 Parking Lot
- Jones Hall: Building 400 Parking Lot
- Bradford & Bethune Hall: Lot H Overflow Lot
- Grandison, Reed, and White: Seymour Gym Lot
- Return to your room and start unpacking and decorating.
- Parking must be cleared by the end of your assigned move-in time so the next group can begin moving in.
- Bring all trash and flattened cardboard boxes to the trash and recycle dumpsters outside the building.
