Department of Management and Marketing

The Department of Management and Marketing offers a wide variety of courses in several business areas including management, production, legal environment, quantitative methods, information systems, real estate, insurance, marketing, and entrepreneurship. The department offers a curriculum that is designed to provide students with knowledge of Management Marketing  and Entrepreneurial theories, practices, and systems, preparing them for a world class degree and a variety of careers.

Management majors are required to complete 120 credit hours. Twenty-four (24) of the 120 hours should be beyond the management courses required of all business majors, and should be in the field of management. A grade of "C" or better must be attained in all management courses presented to fulfill the credit hour requirements in the major. Because the field of management is vast and varied, not all courses in the field necessarily have a management rubric (e.g., MGMT, MGT, MG, etc.). Therefore, the decision on which course can be considered a management course resides with the Chair of the Department of Management and Marketing and the Dean of the College of Business.

Marketing majors are required to complete 120 credit hours. Because the field of marketing is vast and varied, not all courses in the field necessarily have a marketing rubric (e.g., MKTG, MKT, MK, etc.). Therefore, the decision on which course can be considered a marketing course resides with the Chair of the Department of Management and Marketing and the Dean of the College of Business.
