Student Affairs & Enrollment Management
The Division of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management is committed to providing our students with a world-class educational experience from application to graduation. Our careful approach to identifying and recruiting qualified students from across the country helps us ensure that all students have the benefit of an ideally diverse community which provides the academic, social, and cultural experience which only Southern University can offer. Once admitted, the Division offers a variety of programs and services which enhance our students' exposure to and preparation for gainful employment and meaningful civic engagement. These offerings are rooted in our goal to supplement the academic coursework of our students with co-curricular service and learning opportunities.
To achieve its mission, the Division employs more than 100 employees in more than a dozen offices - each focused on supporting our students through quality customer service. These offices provide enrollment services such as student recruitment, admissions, and financial aid; student life services such as student programs, organizations and media, conduct, health services, food services, residential housing, and intramural sports; and academic support services and counseling through the Center for Student Success and Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence.
The Division of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at Southern University and A&M College aims to provide opportunities, support, and programs designed to recruit, retain, and graduate students who are competent, informed, and productive citizens of the Baton Rouge community, state, and nation. We foster leadership, professional development, and personal enrichment through high-quality programs and services focused on producing more well-rounded and engaged scholars.
