Congratulations!! We are so excited that your son/daughter has chosen to join the Jaguar Nation and obtain his/her undergraduate degree at Southern University and A & M College at Baton Rouge (SUBR). To better ensure your son or daughter’s academic success, a MANDATORY orientation has been planned for all first-time freshmen and first semester transfer students. The registration fee for 365 Jag: Orientation is a $150.00, non-refundable fee. The registration fee is not itemized; all students pay one fee. Payment can be made in two forms: cashier’s check or money order, payable to: Southern University – 365 Jag. All First Time Students must complete and submit the following: 1. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov 2. Review SUBR Financial Aid Website at www.subr.edu/financialaid 3. University Scholarship Application (if applicable) 4. Other (external, non-SUBR) scholarship applications (if applicable) 5. Once you have successfully completed registration for 365 Jag you will receive a confirmation e-mail. This e-mail will include specific information regarding check-in, travel and parking, and what to bring to orientation. Please be reminded that the orientation fee is nonrefundable.

Orientation Conduct Policy
Your time at 365 Jag Orientation is the beginning of your educational career at Southern University and A & M College. Approach your time at Orientation seriously, but be open to learn your new environment. We encourage you to be ready and take full advantage of what is offered during your session. Failure to attend or participate in any part of the session is your own responsibility, and can jeopardize proper academic advising and course enrollment.
The Orientation Program strictly adheres to the Southern University and A & M College Student Code of Conduct, as well as all state and federal laws regarding alcohol and/or drug use. The use of alcohol and/or drugs during the program is not permitted. Participants who are in the presence of and/or consuming alcohol and/or drugs will be referred to the Office of Student Life in the Division of Student Affairs and/or the Southern University Police Department. Failure to abide by this policy could result in being asked to leave the program without registering for classes and possibly jeopardizing your admissions status.
