Moodle is an open sourced e-learning software system that provides all the same functionality as Blackboard with additional features such as certificates, wikis, blogs, etc. It is a learning platform designed to provide educators, administrators and learners with a single robust, secure and integrated system to create personalized learning environments. At this time, this system is being widely used and adopted around the world. Currently over 220 countries and over 80 million people are using Moodle.
