Continuing Education
The Division of Continuing Education is an academic and outreach unit that is responsible for providing services that meet the needs of the traditional and nontraditional population, and the residents of the local community.
The Division of Continuing Education is a unit that will assist in recruiting and retaining nontraditional students and provide a variety of quality continuing education programs and delivery strategies designed to meet intellectual, cultural, and ever-changing occupational needs of the citizens in surrounding areas. To achieve this purpose, the university makes available a diversified selection of daytime, evening and weekend courses, off-campus classes, interactive compressed video opportunities, web-based instruction, workshops, short courses and training programs. These academic and community services allow professional achievement or personal development at times and locations convenient for students who must plan their study program around their work or other activities. Through this effort, the program operates under university guidelines as well as strict guidelines developed and enforced by the Louisiana Board of Regents.
