Evening and Weekend Program In efforts to capture the non-traditional student population, beginning level classes are now being offered in the evenings and weekend (Monday - Thursday, Friday night and on Saturday.) The evening and Weekend program will accommodate persons who have limited access to daytime instruction and those who prefer an alternate schedule which allows them to work or fulfill obligations during regular school hours.

  • Education Certification
Students presently enroll through Continuing Education for certification in Elementary Education, Special Education and Administration and Supervision. These certification courses are provided on a demand basis and students are advised by faculty members who serve as advisors through the various colleges. No advisement takes place in Continuing Education.

  • Continuing Education Units (CEU's)
The Continuing Education unit is a concept of measurement of non-credit learning experiences. It is designed to provide a standardized measure and record of non-credit classes and programs. It affords businesses, industry, governmental and other public agencies a quantitative indicator of the progress of personnel on both an absolute and comparative basis in reaching specific training objectives. From the stand point of colleges and universities, the CEU is designed as a means of recording non-credit services to the community and to internal and external agencies requiring such data. CEU credits for participants in workshops and conferences are offered through this program. The appropriate number of CEU's will be awarded along with a certificate based on the national standards for Continuing Education Unit Credits.
