Students turnout for SU recruitment event in Baton Rouge

About 35 high school students participated in Southern University recruitment event held May 23 at Greater Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Baton Rouge.

 

Chancellor Dr. James L. Llorens spoke to encouraged students to take a look at some of the nationally recognized programs on the Baton Rouge campus.

Director of Recruitment Michelle Hill explained to the students the entrance requirements for the Baton Rouge campus, along with the criteria for full and partial scholarships. Recruiters and other SUBR officials were available to answer questions from students and parents.

Several of the students announced that they would be attending Southern in the fall.

The Rev. S. C. Dixon, pastor of Greater Mount Olive, hosted the event and also urged students to consider Southern University.
