Campers sit down with SU alumni artists in Visual Art Gallery

Gloryland Baptist Church, Summer Enrichment Camp took a field trip to the Visual Arts Gallery today, displayed in Frank Hayden Hall on Southern University's campus.

Campers, 6-13 years-old, sat down for a question and answer session with artists Antoine "GHOST" Mitchell and Nathaniel A. Landry before walking through the gallery of comic cartoons, 2-Dimensional mix-media art and self-portrait artwork.

The Visual Arts Gallery has been up since its opening in April. The gallery displays artwork of three Southern alumni; Landry, Mitchell and Heather Holliday.

Group tours can be scheduled now through July 20, by appointment only. Contact Robert Cox at 771-4103.
