Southern University set to celebrate Founder’s Day
Southern University will celebrate its 133rd Founders Day, March 7, with a series of activities. The special recognition of the university’s history is titled “Meeting Challenges, Building Alliances, Creating Opportunities.”
The celebration kicks off Thursday, March 7, with a Community Prayer Breakfast at 8:00 a.m. in the Cotillion Ballroom of the Smith-Brown Memorial Union.
The following is a schedule of other Founder’s Day activities:
9 a.m. – SU Lab School Pilgrimage and Wreath-Laying Ceremony. (At the Clark gravesite on the Riverfront)
10:30 a.m. – Founder’s Day Convocation (F.G. Clark Activity Center)
12:30 p.m. – Employee Awards and Recognition Luncheon – Invitation Only
