HONORS GLOBAL EXPERIENCE

STUDYING ABROAD

Southern University's Dolores Margaret Richard Spikes Honors College highly recommends that our honors students enrich their international educational experience by traveling abroad to a foreign country.  There are many opportunities for our students to enhance their knowledge in global education. We have abroad opportunities in Central America, Turkey, China, and Brazil, just to name a few. 

This year, Southern University's Honors College plans to travel to Central America where students can enroll at Wesley Junior College for three weeks during Maymester, thereby,  earning 3 credit hours of Spanish and 60 hours of community service.  As usual, the Honors College student is expected to participate in events that expand horizons above and beyond the average student.
