Freshman Move-In Mania
Move In Instructions

Dear Future Jaguars,
Get ready for the most exciting day of the year — Move-In Mania!

We can’t wait to welcome you to campus on August 10-13, 2026!

Whether you're arriving on Day 1, Day 2, or Day 3, rest assured, the experience will be smooth, easy, and fun.

Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your move-in day:
Step 1: Confirm Your Arrival Time
Be on the lookout for an email from the Housing Office. It will include your Housing Assignment, Move-In Date, and Arrival Time. Make sure you only show up during your confirmed time to keep things moving smoothly!
Step 2: Find Your Starting Point
  • Map it out: Check out the [Move-In Map]to see where everything begins.
  • How to get here:
    • Arriving via the Harding Blvd Overpass? Perfect! Turn off at the F.G. Clark Activity Center.
    • Our friendly staff will guide you to the correct check-in area and unloading zones.
  • Bradford Hall & Bethune Hall residents:
Follow Harding Blvd and follow the directional signage to your designated check-in and unloading zones.

Step 3: Head to Your Check-In Area
  • Once you arrive, look for the check-in stations to get off to the right start. You’ll be guided by signs and helpful staff every step of the way.
Step 4: Time to Unload
  • Get your Student Data Form ready: You'll need a printed copy of your Student Data Form (emailed to you at the end of July).
  • Arrive on time: Please aim to arrive no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled move-in time. Early birds? You'll be redirected to the exit lane to wait until your designated time. Late arrivals? We’ll do our best to accommodate, but there’s no guarantee it will be at your scheduled time.
  • Don’t park in the fire lane! Vehicles parked in fire lanes will be asked to move — and may even be ticketed or towed at the owner's expense.
Step 5: Check-In & Grab Your Welcome Pack
  • Pull up to the Welcome Tent: Exchange your printed Student Data Form for a Welcome Packet and your Room Key.
  • Parking: After you’ve checked in, park in a designated parking space.
    • Each student is allowed up to two cars. If you’re towing a U-Haul or trailer, that counts as two vehicles.
    • If you’ve got a third car, please park it in a perimeter lot on campus before coming to the staging area. You won’t be able to bring it into the move-in area.
