SU’s Channing Evans part of Toyota Go Green Initiative

Channing Evans, a senior nursing student from Slidell, was recently chosen to be part of the nationwide Toyota Go Green Initiative Ambassador Program.

Evans, a former Miss Junior, was selected based on an essay, grade point average of 3.07, and experienced with working with others and spreading school spirit.

As part of her role as an ambassador, Evans had to find a sponsor to donate recycle bins for the campus. She negotiated an agreement with Coca Cola Bottling in Baton Rouge to provide 5 bins that have been placed at strategic locations across the campus.
