Dr. Clarence D. Merckerson

 

Dr. Clarence D. Merckerson has several years of experience in rehabilitation and mental health counseling in private practice, inpatient, and outpatient facilities. His clinical experience includes counseling children, families, and adults. Dr. Merckerson specializes in addiction and trauma related issues. His research focus is perceptions, particularly hiring mangers’ perceptions toward hiring people with disabilities.

Dr. Merckerson has a BS degree in Marketing and World Business from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. From there he received a MS degree in Rehabilitation Counseling while attending Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Merckerson received a doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Auburn University in Auburn, AL. He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, in addition to being a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.
