RCBPUP Workshop

Workshop

The project organizes Rehabilitation Capacity Building, Grant Writing, Project Management, Technical Assistance, and Follow-up Worksops at least four times a year. These national and regional workshops are designed for faculty and administrators of minority institutions of higher education, Community Rehabilitation Programs, minority owned businesses, American indian tribes, and other interested entities. The workshops:

* Promote disability awareness and build rehabilitation capacities.
* Familiarize rehabilitation and related service professionals with RSA-NIDRR discretionary grants and peer review processes.
* Provide training on effective strategies of writing RSA-NIDRR training and research projects, contracts, and cooperative agreements.
* Assist in project administration and management.

Participants, selected on the basis of their written commitment to submit proposals(s), receive full scholarships to attend these workshops. These activities are geared to increase the participation of rehabilitation professionals of diverse ethnic backgrounds in the state-federal vocational rehabilitation system and enhance the quality of servies provided to underserved and unserved populations.
