Digital Logic Design Laboratory-ELEN 305

Digital Logic Design Laboratory-ELEN 305

Location: P. B. S. Pinchback Engineering Building-Rm. ?

Purpose of the Lab: This laboratory is used to reinforce fundamental concepts in digital logic design through hands-on lab experiments. This lab is used in conjunction with the Digital Logic Design Lecture (ELEN 303) course. The experiments and lab assignments cover the fundamentals of combinational and sequential logic networks.

Equipment/Apparatus: The following experimental set-ups are available for lab use.

  • PSPICE Schematics, LogicAid, and SimuAid software programs
  • PB- 503 Proto-Board
  • Various ICs, wire, wire-cutters

Experiments:

Experiment 1

Familiarization of Equipment and Basic Logic Gates

Experiment 2

Boolean Properties

Experiment 3

Universal Logic Gates

Experiment 4

Simplification

Experiment 5

Conversion of English Sentences to Boolean Equations: Sound System Design Problem

Experiment 6
