Southern University students Joshua Staes and Anthony Pearson earned a first and second place respectively at the Student Auditions conducted recently by Louisiana Chapter of the National Association of Teachers Singing (NATS).
Joshua Staes, a baritone, received first place and Pearson, a tenor, received a second place. Dorian Alston, a baritone, also represented the University in the competition held at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux.
All three vocalists are students of Professor Richard Hobson.
