SU College of Business set to host 4th Annual Economic Development Conference

The Southern University College of Business is hosting its Fourth Economic Development Administration (EDA) University Center Annual Conference entitled “Advancing Economic and Entrepreneurial Development in disaster Recovery: the Role of Talent, Innovation and Place in Building Community Resiliency.” The conference will be held June 15-17 at the College of Business’ T.T. Allain Hall, Room 313 on Southern University’s campus. The registration cost is $25.
SU System to co-host 1st HBCU Summit for affordable online learning

SU nursing professor receives national lifetime achievement award

Wanda Spurlock, professor, School of Nursing and Allied Health, Southern University Baton Rouge, received the National Black Nurses Association’s (NBNA) Lifetime Achievement Award. The award was presented to Spurlock by NBNA Acadiana Chapter, Saturday, January 14, 2017, in conjunction with the organization’s President’s Scholarship Gala held at the Ramada Inn Convention Center in Lafayette.

The top graduate for Southern University’s Fall 2016 Commencement, Laura Syori, was born in Gitega, Burundi, a small country in East Africa about the size of Maryland. Syori, who is graduating magna cum laude, with a bachelor of science in biology from
