University Automobile Policy
Southern University and A&M College students residing on campus must have earned at least 24 hours college credit and maintained a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA in order to receive permission to register an automobile on campus.
Resident Student Automobile Waiver
Southern University and A&M College will consider automobile waivers for extenuating circumstances should a student who is otherwise ineligible to operate an automobile on campus desire special consideration. Students seeking a waiver for the reasons listed on the application, or other extenuating circumstances, must provide official documentation to validate their reason for an automobile, in addition to the other requirements. A letter from a parent, solely, will not suffice as official documentation. This criterion also refers to out-of-state students, as out-of-state students are subject to the University's Automobile Policy.
Upon submission of an automobile waiver form, students will receive a response within 7 business days via their official SUBR email account ONLY.
