The Summer Enrichment Program is designed to bring to the campus academically talented high school students who have completed the 11th grade. The students are given the opportunity to enroll in college-level courses and receive college credit, which can be used only if they choose to attend Southern University upon completion of high school. The credit cannot be transferred to another institution of higher education.
A maximum of 10 credit hours can be earned. Requirements for participation are a minimum 3.00 GPA, an ACT score of 20 or better, and recommendations from a high school counselor or prinicipal.
