
MBA Curriculum
Each MBA student will be require to follow a course of study that provides a general business core and electives suited to the student's needs and aims in business. The curriculum consists of ten required courses and three electives. this is a non-theses program and will require the student to complete 36 hours of course work and pass a comprehensive exam. Students that have not completed and undergraduate business degree will have to complete business foundation courses in preparation for entering the program.
Students that do not have real world experience will be encouraged to complete a business internship during the summer as part of their program. In addition, a "Special Topics in Business? course is an elective provided for the development of new courses in the curriculum. These electives and the core curriculum provide knowledge on helping students understand changes and the adjustments that must occur to spur innovation and growth in order for the firm to take advantage of new business opportunities.
Students can select two elective courses from areas that include E-Business and Supply chain Management, Small business Management and Entrepreneurship, International Business and Trade. Electives in the area of E-Business and Supply Chain Management are designed to enhance the students understanding of information technology trends, the implementation of information technology and the impact of the digital economy on business in the global economy.
The Small Business Management and entrepreneurship electives are designed for individuals who are preparing to start their own business or who are managing the innovation process in established firms. The international business and Trade electives provide individuals with the knowledge for understanding business concepts and practices from and international or global perspective.
