People | Southern University and A&M College
Welcome to The College of Sciences and Engineering at Southern University, where we continue to play a vital role in producing our state and nation’s engineers, scientists, mathematicians, computer scientists, and technologists.
With a proud teaching, service and research tradition, The College of Sciences and Engineering is committed to training the next generation of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) leaders, and promoting diversity in the STEM field.
Our environment is collegial and focused on student and workforce needs. Our degree program offerings include nine bachelor’s degree programs: biology, chemistry, computer science, physics, electronic engineering technology, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and mathematics. We offer five master’s degree programs: engineering, computer science, biology, mathematics, and physics. We also offer doctoral degree programs in environmental toxicology and science and math education.
Here, we are a strong, supportive team of faculty and staff, equipping our students to take on the technical challenges of today and tomorrow. We believe it’s an exciting time to be engaged in STEM. We encourage you to learn more about our academic programs, research, and outreach, and invite you to join us.
