Gaming and Esports Lab Code of Conduct and Guidelines

Code of Conduct

1. No food or drinks are allowed in the Lab. If you want to eat or drink, you will need to go to the dining area or the SU Food Court.
2. To have the furniture moved, we ask that you speak to an Esports Attendant.
3. Once you have completed gameplay, alert an Esports Attendant.
4. No abusive language. If a visitor show/exhibit this behavior, they will be asked to leave.
5. No smoking, vaping, or tobacco products. Southern University is a smoke and tobacco-free campus.
6. If you fail to comply or follow these rules, you will be asked to leave.

Rules for Minors and Unattended Minors

1. Minors under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the SU EDGE. They cannot be left unattended.
2. All minors must have a Minor Consent and Waiver Form on file.
3. Minors between the ages of 16-18 years of age are permitted in the lab without an accompanying adult but must comply with all arena rules.
4. Minors between the ages of 13-15 years of age may only be left unattended under the terms and conditions outlined below.
5. A parent/guardian is required to sign them in upon arrival with valid photo identification.
6. The minor’s stay is limited to 4 hours, and they are permitted in the lab until no later than 7 PM without a parent or guardian.
7. If a minor aged 13-15 leaves the arena, they will need a parent/guardian to sign them in again upon their return.
