Southern student gets CH2M Hill scholarship
Southern University student Vernell Banks has been awarded the CH2M Hill scholarship. Banks is a sophomore Civil Engineering major from Hammond.
The scholarship is for the 2013 school year.
“This scholarship really means a lot to me. I thank God and my parents who raised me and groomed me to be the person that I am now,” said Banks. “I accept this award humbly and really appreciate everybody who is a part of my life that got me to this point.”
Banks is a graduate of Hammond High School.
