Southern University Day at the Capitol set for Tuesday, March 31

The Southern University System will host Southern University Day at the Capitol 2026 on Tuesday, March 31, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Louisiana State Capitol.

The event will bring together faculty, staff, students, alumni, and supporters for a day of advocacy and engagement, highlighting the mission, impact, and future of the Southern University System.

Participants will have the opportunity to connect with state legislators, share the university’s story, and demonstrate the strength of the nation’s only historically Black university system.

University leaders encourage the Southern community to attend and show support for continued investment in students, academic programs, and campuses across the system.
