SUBR-SUSLA College Connection Partnership Program

Description of the Program:

The SUBR-SUSLA College Connection Partnership Program, a joint effort between Southern University at Baton Rouge (SUBR) and Southern University at Shreveport (SUSLA) offers freshmen and transfer applicants who do not meet SUBR's current admission requirements the opportunity of attending college in Baton Rouge. Students participating in this project will be SUSLA students and will be cross enrolled at SUBR. The advantages are that SUBR-SUSLA Partnership students will take collegiate-level coursework across multiple settings, without completing a separate admission application, paying a separate application fee, or requesting additional transcripts and test scores. You are also guaranteed admission to SUBR as transfer students when you complete 12 college level credits with a 2.0 GPA or better.

Prospective candidates electing to enroll in the SUBR-SUSLA Partnership must first complete the Intent to Participate Form and return it to the SUBR-SUSLA Partnership Office at SUBR. There is no need to reside or be located in Shreveport, Louisiana. Rather, once enrolled in the SUBR-SUSLA Partnership Program, the student will begin classes on the SUBR Campus, has the option to live on the SUBR campus, and may participate in campus activities to enhance his/her academic experience and success as a college student.
