What is TOPS (Taylor Opportunity Program for Students) state scholarship

TOPS is a program of state scholarships for Louisiana residents who attend either one of the Louisiana Public Colleges and Universities, schools that are a part of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, Louisiana approved Proprietary and Cosmetology Schools or institutions that are a part of the Louisiana Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.

SU gets $5 million grant for center

Southern University has been awarded a $5 million grant from the National Science Foundation to establish the "Next Generation Composites Crest Center," called NextGenC3, on the university's campus. 


College of Ed to help White Castle High improve student scores

Saying that Southern University “is excited about the opportunity to improve the academic future of students,” SU Chancellor James L. Llorens signed a partnership Monday with the Iberville Parish School System to start a College and Career Readiness program at White Castle High School.
