SU Law Center to host virtual East Baton Rouge mayoral candidate forum Thursday

As the 2020 election season reaches its peak, the Southern University Law Center continues its voter education efforts by hosting a virtual East Baton Rouge Parish Mayoral Candidate forum taking place on Thursday, Oct. 22 from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. on the Law Center's Facebook page.
Participating mayoral candidates will be Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, Councilman Matt Watson, local businessman Jordan Piazza, Representative C. Denise Marcelle, former state Representative Steve Carter, and Attorney Eric Guirard. Student Bar Association president, Bakari Garvey, will serve as moderator. Participants will answer viewer-submitted questions on various topics.
This forum will provide an opportunity for each candidate to address their constituents. The event will be made available through live streaming on the Law Center’s Facebook page. Questions can be submitted at www.sulc.edu/mayorforum.
