SU alum and Homeland Security official to speak

Southern University and A&M College student scholars Kristofer McKinney and Michael Agbor made presentations at the Southern Regional Honors Council (SRHC) conference in Orlando, Florida, March 31 through April 2, 2016. The theme for the conference was “The Magic of Honors.”

Southern University Baton Rouge (SUBR) freshmen Jonalyn Fair and Oscar McClain, and graduating senior André Spears, have been selected to participate in the Summer 2016 Minority Serving Institutions Partnership Program (MSIPP).

John Warner Smith, an adjunct professor in the Southern University Baton Rouge (SUBR) Department of English, will release his second book-length collection of poetry, Soul Be A Witness: Songs to Boys of Color.
