As a division of the Office of Technology and Network Services (TNS), Web Services oversees the following:

SUBR Campus Web Site

The Web Team is responsible for the development, expansion, maintenance, and accuracy of the web site for the Southern University-Baton Rouge Campus. The site is updated daily to provide key information about the University, its events, its resources and its accomplishments. Web Services also serves as technical support contacts and maintains on-site web servers. The coordinator works closely with all academic and administrative support units in the development of their division web sites. Web Services also provides scheduled workshops for all individuals interested in developing and posting web sites.

Jag News Channel

The Jag News Channel is designed to provide anywhere, anytime information dissemination to the Southern University-Baton Rouge Campus. This is accomplished by providing streaming media to 25" television monitors that have been placed in high traffic areas. Streamed information consists of important University announcements, deadlines, schedule of events, weather and live broadcast. The Jag News Channel was funded through a grant from the HBCU Title III Program.

Electronic Board/Marquee

Consistent with the electronic dissemination of campus information, news, and deadlines, web services is also responsible for the electronic marquee located on Harding Boulevard at the University entrance. This board focuses on university and community wide announcements as opposed to department/unit specific ones.
